The Commitment And Dedication That Your Case Deserves

Facing the legal system can be daunting. The process is complex, and the consequences can be severe. Having an attentive attorney on your side makes the process much easier.

Based in Bulverde, Texas, The Law Office of John W. Hodges, Jr. PLLC, assists clients with their personal injury, criminal defense and civil litigation needs. I bring a determined approach to every case. My clients can take solace in having a fierce advocate on their side.

Texas Roots With A Wealth Of Experience

I am a native of east Texas and am happy to be back home. In 2008, I was selected by the Marine Corps to attend law school at the University of Nebraska through the highly-competitive Funded Law Education Program. During law school, I represented the University of Nebraska in trial competitions as a member of the National Trial Team. I received a Juris Doctorate in 2011 and completed the Litigation Skills Program of Concentrated Study.

Next, I attended Naval Justice School (NJS) with other Judge Advocates from the Marine Corps, Navy and Coast Guard. I graduated NJS as an Honors Graduate, was a finalist in the Trial Advocacy competition and the winner of the American Bar Association Legal Assistance Award. Afterwards, I served as a judge advocate general (JAG) in the Marine Corps. This experience gave me a passion for justice, which I have carried throughout my career.

Since leaving active duty, I have litigated hundreds of personal injury cases and other civil matters and recovered millions of dollars on behalf of my clients. I have stood with my clients through felony jury trials and obtained full acquittals, even in a case which was labeled "a prosecutor's dream."

I use that experience to my clients' benefit whenever possible.

A Firm That Puts The Client First

I founded The Law Office of John W. Hodges, Jr. PLLC, in 2017 with my wife and office manager, Heather, because we wanted freedom. We wanted the freedom to take cases that we want, and help people who are going through trials in their lives. I wanted the freedom to litigate cases the only way that I know how: with passion and boldness.

About My Personal Life

When I am not advocating for my clients, I continue to serve as a Major and Judge Advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. Away from work, I play golf (rarely), exercise (but am no good at it), and spend time with my family (that keeps growing. See John's brother here: Most importantly, I continue to grow in my relationship with Jesus, and regularly attend Crossbridge Community Church and a small Life Group with other followers of Jesus. Whether you have a case or not, I am always willing to talk to you about Jesus.
